Individuals View: Parents Page

The Parents page displays information on the parent families of the current individual. Genbox can store any number of parents for each person.

Parental roles can be identified as "Father" and "Mother", or as "Parent1" or "Parent2" for nontraditional parents. The actual type of relationship between the child and each parent can be specified.

Other data values for each parent family include:

• Preferred Parent Family - mark your preference of parent family for the current individual. The preferred family will appear on the Summary page.
• Defining Event - the event where the link to the parent family is first established with the child.
• Source Citations - links to citations documenting the parent family, or each parent individually.
• Notes - general and research.
